Most residential cleaning services require 24-hour notice for cancellations, but do not charge any fee, as long as they are notified during normal business hours within the agreed time frame. If a cleaning appointment is canceled less than 48 hours in advance, or if the cleaner cannot enter the house, a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of cleaning will be charged. To ensure that customers are aware of the cancellation policy, it is important to communicate it clearly and effectively. If the customer does not give forty-eight (4) hours' notice on more than one occasion, they must pay 50% for the canceled cleaning (first offence) and 100% of the fee for the cleaning canceled later.
If you want to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment, a notice of at least 48 business hours (excluding weekends) is required. If a customer cancels but changes it immediately for the next day, you can waive payment if you have availability that day. We ask that you give us 48 hours' notice of cancellation or, preferably, as much notice as you can provide once you know that you will not be able to attend the appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your cleaning service, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
If you cancel less than twenty-four (2) hours before your appointment time, you will be charged 50% (half) of the amount of the agreed rate for the canceled appointment. If a customer requires a large amount of resources and time before the scheduled cleaning, you can create specific guidelines for this type of work (such as a five-day cancellation policy).
